SuiteHUD AI is a chat assistant built into NetSuite. Ask it about the record you're on, have it look things up, export reports, or take repetitive work off your hands. Connect it to your NetSuite account and it can also run queries and saved searches, and create or update records for you.

Turning it on

SuiteHUD AI needs a SuiteHUD Pro plan or a Pro trial, and you need to be signed in.

To turn on SuiteHUD AI:

  1. On the SuiteHUD bar, click More, then Settings, and go to the AI tab.
  2. Turn on SuiteHUD AI.
  3. Read the notice, then click I Agree & Continue.
  4. Connect your NetSuite account, or click Skip to use SuiteHUD's own tools only. You can connect later.
  5. Click Done.

Opening it

  • Type in the ask box on the SuiteHUD bar. On a record it reads something like Ask about this record…. Or
  • press Alt+Shift+A, or
  • click More, then SuiteHUD AI (under Workflow).

If you'd rather not have the ask box on the bar, turn off AI chat on the HUD in Settings, on the General tab. You can still open SuiteHUD AI from the More menu or with the hotkey.

Two ways to use it

  • SuiteHUD tools only. The AI works with the page you're on and with SuiteHUD's own tools: Field Map, System Notes, Transaction Insight, Reporting Packages, HUD Notes and more. There's nothing else to set up.
  • With the NetSuite AI Connector. The AI can also query records, run saved searches and reports, run SuiteQL, and create or update records across your account. A NetSuite administrator sets this up once, then each person connects with their own NetSuite sign-in. See Connecting NetSuite and Making Changes.

Good to know

  • Each message uses AI credits. Pro includes credits, and you can buy more.
  • The AI can make mistakes. Check anything important against NetSuite, and read what it proposes before you approve a change.
  • Chats are kept in your history for 90 days, and only you can see them. Turn on Incognito for a chat you don't want saved.
