Models, Credits and Memory
Plans: Pro
You can choose how much thinking the AI puts in, see what each answer costs, and control what it remembers.
Choosing a model
The model chip under the message box says Auto to start with. Auto picks a model for each message, which keeps costs down. Click the chip to pin a model for this chat:
- Haiku: fastest and lowest cost.
- Sonnet: balanced, and good for most work.
- Opus: deepest reasoning, and the most expensive.
Before a message runs on Opus, SuiteHUD asks with Run this on Opus? This happens whether you pinned Opus, a lesson uses it, or Auto picked it. Choose Use Sonnet instead or Continue with Opus. To stop the question, tick Don't warn me about Opus again, or turn off Confirm before Opus in Settings, on the AI tab.
Messages with an image or a PDF use Sonnet, even on Auto.
Credits
Each message uses credits. Bigger questions and bigger models use more.
- Each answer shows the model it used and what it cost. With SuiteHUD billing, it also shows how many credits you have left.
- In Settings, on the AI tab, Show cost switches between Per message and Balance only. Balance only puts your balance at the top of the chat instead. Cost in shows costs in Dollars (the default) or Credits.
- To top up, click Buy credits on the AI tab in Settings.
If you run out, the chat tells you, and you can buy more straight from it.
Chat memory
A long chat fills the AI's memory. The ring under the message box shows how full it is as a percentage. It turns amber as it fills and orange when it's nearly full. When it's full, a This chat is getting long card appears above the message box.
To free up memory:
- Click the ring.
- Click Free up memory.
The chat stays on screen, and the AI carries on from a short summary of it. If you're starting something new, click + for a new chat instead.
AI memory across chats
AI memory is off to start with. Turn it on in Settings, and the AI saves small setup facts it would otherwise ask again, such as which custom field holds what. Amounts, account numbers and email addresses are removed before a note is saved, and only you can see these notes. When it saves one, you see Remembered with Undo.
To see or delete what it remembers, open AI Lessons and go to the Memory tab.
