File Preview and Page-in-Page Tips and Limits

Plans: All plans

Tips

  • Match a bill to its invoice. Open the vendor bill, then File Preview. The scanned invoice sits next to the lines you're checking.
  • Pin File Preview to the bar. In the More menu, click the pin next to File Preview to keep it one click away.
  • Check a linked record without leaving. On a sales order, Ctrl+Shift+click the customer to open their record beside the order.
  • Pin your month-end references. Pin the pages you keep flipping between, such as a trial balance and a reconciliation, then switch between them with Pinned ▾.

Known limits

  • File Preview only finds files on the record's Files subtab. It doesn't pick up files linked in fields or notes.
  • File Preview doesn't work on a record you're still creating. Save the record first.
  • PDF Preview works on transactions only.
  • Spreadsheets show only the first 2,000 rows of each sheet. Use Download to get the full file.
  • Pages opened with Page-in-Page have no Download button. Use Open in New Tab instead.
  • If you change a record in the panel, the page behind it doesn't update. Reload that page to see the change.
  • Pins disappear when you leave or reload the page. You can have at most 10.
  • Page-in-Page is for NetSuite pages. Most other websites won't open inside it, so use Open in New Tab for those.
  • Only one side panel can be open at a time. Opening Live View, HUD Notes or Search Studio closes the preview.
