Transaction Insight Tips and Limits
Plans: Pro
Tips
- Sanity-check bills before approving. A red Amount Anomaly on a vendor bill means it's well above that vendor's usual bill. That's worth a second look.
- Catch duplicates. A red Frequency card on a bill means more bills from this vendor this week than usual. Open the Last 7 Days Breakdown to compare them.
- Check a customer quickly. On an invoice, Recent Transactions shows their latest payments, credits and orders in one list.
- Review a vendor in the side panel. From a breakdown, open transactions with Open in side panel and step through them with ◀ and ▶.
Known limits
- Insight doesn't work on journal entries, or on transactions with no customer or vendor. These show an error instead of numbers.
- The comparison covers the last 12 months only.
- Most figures compare transactions of the same type. Recent Transactions is the exception: it shows every type.
- The colours only work for common customer and vendor transactions. Other types stay neutral.
- Insight doesn't update by itself. Click Refresh to get the latest numbers.
- A breakdown starts with 100 transactions, and Export CSV only exports what has loaded. Click Show all first.
- On very busy customers or vendors, loading can time out. Click Refresh to try again.
