HUD Notes Tips and Limits
Plans: Pro (team features: Enterprise)
Tips
- Leave yourself context. Before you step away from a half-finished record, add a note saying where you got to. It's there when you come back, including if you arrive through a saved search or a link.
- Turn follow-ups into tasks. Add Tomorrow as the due date, and the HUD Notes button reminds you once it's due.
- Let SuiteHUD AI do the legwork. Add + Ask AI with a prompt such as "check whether this PO has been received". Click Hand off when it comes due.
- Keep reminders off-record. Write general to-dos on the All tab. They aren't tied to any page.
- Hand work over cleanly (Enterprise). Assign the task to a teammate with a due date. You see when they tick it done.
Known limits
- You can't edit a note's text, due date or assignee once it's added. Delete it and write it again.
- Notes can't hold attachments, and you can't search their text.
- Notes are deleted 90 days after the last activity, and done notes 30 days after they're ticked off. Use + to keep a note longer.
- A note can be up to 2,000 characters, and can have up to 200 replies.
- Notes in a sandbox account are separate from notes in production.
- The This Page tab doesn't work on some NetSuite pages, such as pages with no stable link. Use the All tab there.
- You can't reply to a done note. Reopen it first.
- HUD Notes needs a connection to SuiteHUD. If you're offline, notes can't be loaded or saved. Try again when you're back online.
