Finding Fields and Values

Plans: All plans

Each row in Field Map shows a field's label and value, its field ID in braces (such as {memo}), and its type. An * marks a mandatory field.

Searching

To find a field:

  1. Type in Search fields, IDs, values….
  2. To narrow the search, click Field Names, Field IDs or Values. All searches everything.

A match on a sublist line shows a line badge, such as line 12. Click it to jump to that line.

Moving through sublist lines

Each sublist section shows one line at a time, such as Line 3 / 24.

  • Click the arrows to go to the previous or next line.
  • Click the line label to open Jump to line and pick a line. Each one shows a preview, such as the item or account on it.

Seeing more about a field

Click a row to open its details: the text and internal ID of its value, its type, and the tab it sits on.

  • Copy value, Copy internal ID and the copy button for the field ID (such as Copy {memo}) put that on your clipboard.
  • For a sublist field, you see its value on every line. Number and currency fields also get a Sum.

Tip: The ⧉ button at the end of a row copies the field ID straight away. The ID comes with braces, like {memo}, so delete them if you need the bare ID.

Changing what's shown

Click ⋯ (Field Map options) to change:

  • Show values inline: turn this off to see only labels and IDs.
  • Hide empty and unchecked: hides blank fields and unticked checkboxes.
  • Show internal IDs: shows the internal ID of a list value, not its name.
  • Compact rows: fits more on the screen.
  • Sort A–Z or Sort by form layout: form layout matches the order on the NetSuite form.
